A wonderful high-quality market that carries both staples and more gourmet offerings. Love their produce, ready-to-eat items--and ice cream! Great, friendly staff. Always really enjoy shopping here. A fantastic addition to the neighborhood!

Welcome! I’ve shopped at all the BiRites in San Francisco. This one is the largest. It’s strong points are the grab & go salads and take home foods as well as heat up complete meals. I also love the housemade baked goods. …

This place will blow your mind. It's a cross between a grocery store and a fast-casual restaurant. Reminds me of a small-scale version of what Whole Foods used to be when it was at its best. Every item on the shelves feels like it was …

I enjoy coming in here for the deli, exotic chocolates and probiotic drinks whenever I’m in the neighborhood. The Telegraph is my favorite sandwich. Despite it being marketed as toasted, you need to explicitly ask otherwise you end up home with a cold sandwich on occasion and that is kinda a bummer.

Absolutely revolting. I bought portobello mushrooms here and within hours, Mold was already spreading like a science experiment gone wrong, and when I flipped one over—pus oozed out. Yes, actual pus. I nearly threw up. It’s horrifying that …

Huge downgrade from the store that was here previously. No butcher on site and a pathetically small selection of meats. WHERE’S THE BEEF? …

The sandwiches are good but the deli is unbelievably slow. I have left the store before and gave up my sandwich order because it is that slow (like 30 mins+ for 2 sandwiches, even when they aren’t busy).

I just waited 30 min for my sandwich. No other orders were completed during this time. I can’t imagine how long the people who ordered after me must have waited. …

Surprisingly large selection since the vast majority (maybe all?) of their goods are sourced from CA. Prices are a bit high but it makes sense with the local sourcing and quality.

Hi-value foods, so bring enough money as a Fat Cat. It would be better if they could offer special normal priced offerings around the store to balance out their refined choices at higher prices, although earned prices. I suggest this to the …

Bi-Rite raises the bar and hits all my needs for groceries: local organic produce, great selection in cheese, wines, house-prepared dishes, epicurean brands, and more!

May 2025 Trendy grocery category that's been gaining a bit more popularity nowadays with the younger generation. A more stylish and niche type of specialized grocer that leans towards sustainable produce and more crafted takeaways. …

Bi-rite is a treat. The produce is local, sustainable, and picked with care. I find lots of interesting and unique fruits and vegetables, and I appreciate that they aren't wrapped in plastic. …

Super super over priced! Like why? A simple chain bread, 2-3 dollars more than normal price. Frozen pizza for $17, overpriced veggies and fruit. Chips overpriced. Not sure why they are still in business. Nothing too special. The prepared …
